Vistors to Chutes De Plaisance falls are in for a treat. Parking is free and admission to enter the falls park is approx. 4 dollars per person. The falls plunge 188 feet from top to eventual bottom and drop further then Niagara falls which have a drop of 176 feet. A 2 K.M trail located beside the falls gives hikers access to see the falls from different viewing points. Pic Nic tables and washrooms are also provided giving hikers a rest area if required during the one hour walk. Run year round as a tourist attraction the Plaisance Falls Park was once a Mill village known as North Nation Mills.
Directions
Chutes de Plaisance is located approx. 40 minutes east of Ottawa, Canada the nation's capital city. To get there from Ottawa travel north across the Portage Bridge to enter Quebec. Driving on Boulevard Maisonneuve N stay to your left to merge onto Autoroute 50 E/QC-148 E toward Montréal. Continue to follow Autoroute 50 E for 61.5 km. Exit towards Montée Papineau 600 m and turn right onto Montée Papineau 600 m. Then take the 1st right onto Chemin Malo 1.6 km. Chutes de Plaisance is located at 100 Rang Malo, 5 km north of Plaisance village.
